Shelby Haviland, O.D.

A love of healthcare and helping others, combined with an entrepreneurial spirit, inspired Dr. Shelby Haviland to open Bryant Vision Clinic. Dr. Haviland was born and raised in Tennessee and a proud alumni of the University of Tennessee, where she earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biochemistry Cellular and Molecular Biology.

She then attended optometry school at Nova Southeastern University (NSU) College of Optometry in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Dr. Haviland graduated from optometry school with honors and as president of the private practice management club. During her externship rotations, Dr. Haviland gained extensive experience in primary care, geriatrics, surgical co-management, contact lenses, and pediatric care. Her professional interests include primary care, ocular disease management, dry eye disease, surgical co-management, and pediatric eye care.

Dr Haviland is an active member in the Arkansas Optometric Association. Outside the practice Dr. Haviland enjoys watching football, kayaking, and spending time with her family and cocker spaniel, Scout.

Paula Lane, Optician

Photo of PaulaMeet our wonderful optician Paula with over 35 years of experience! She started as an apprentice in October of 1988 and became a licensed optician in July of 1994. Paula had no idea this was what she wanted to be when she grew up, but she feels so blessed to have found this profession.

“I love what I do! As an ‘Optimagician’, I am able to help my patients not only look great but to see clearly with all of the latest advancements in lenses and enhancements. I continue to learn and use the knowledge to be the best optician I can be.”
